Paris Sketchbook by Jason Brooks

In addition to David Downton my other favourite fashion illustrator is fellow Brit Jason Brooks. His glamorous ladies have been the visual image for hedkandi music for quite some time now, selling over 5 million albums, so you may already be familiar with his work even if you would not be familiar with fashion illustration. He grew up in Brighton, attended the famous Central Saint Martin’s college for design in London and received his first commissions for work in his teens. Since then he has travelled the world sketching at couture shows and his work has appeared in print ads, magazines and newspapers around the world. His very first book is a collection of nearly 200 Paris illustrations, showcasing the fashion and romance capital in all its glamorous seasons. The romantic streets and cafes, the elegant ladies (and gentlemen) and the beautiful buildings that so eloquently spell Paris. Leafing through the book is like taking a mini holiday in the Paris of your dreams. C’est magnifique!
